Welcome to this space dedicated to exploring and advancing research-informed policy and practice in education.
Like my research and teaching (find out more here), this blog focuses on current policy and practical issues in education. It also reflects a broader interest in how we can generate, exchange, and apply knowledge from research to real-world educational challenges, and in how we can build research capacity and strengthen the use of evidence across the system.
I’ll be blogging about my own research, highlighting studies I’m reading that are especially useful or thought-provoking, and sharing reflections on how we can move towards a more research-informed and research-empowered education system.
My overall aim is to help build a landscape in which researchers, teachers, school leaders, policymakers and others work together to develop, scrutinise, exchange and apply ideas, evidence and practice.
